The Historic Needham Estate Comes to the Rescue
Bride-to-Be Monique Harrell and 11 of her wedding party arrived at a house in Miami for their bachelorette party; only to find upon their arrival no one answering the door, the house empty and the contact telephone number disconnected. The young ladies from New Jersey had clearly been scammed.
Rosh Lowe of Channel 7 WSVN News aired the unfortunate incident and, fortunately, Sandy and Drew Romanovitz/Historic Needham Estate saw the news. They immediately contacted Channel 7 and offered to donate their home, the Historic Needham Estate in Ft. Lauderdale, for the bachelorette party. The Needham Estate was built in 1925 and with all its old world charm and spacious interior and exterior on the New River is well known in the area for leasing the venue for weddings, receptions and various other events.
Saturday morning Monique and a couple of her friends went to the home to meet Sandy and Drew.
Sunday evening Sandy and Drew, and the catering staff greeted Monique and her bridal party as they arrived at the Needham Estate. Everyone was in a festive mood as they enjoyed a cocktail hour accompanied by sumptuous hors d’ oeuvres followed by a 3-course gourmet dinner and a beautiful, delicious red velvet cake, which happened to be the bride’s choice dessert.
The evening ended with Monique and her friends very happy that they had been able to have their bachelorette party after all. The ladies went back to New Jersey with stories to tell and some fond memories…..and added just another very special slice of life to The Historic Needham Estate.
